About

Ungaikyo

About 8 minutes walk from the Asahigaoka bus stop. The house is located in the middle of a natural forest. The house has a total floor space of 150 square meters, which is spacious and comfortable. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 spare bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 shower room, 2 shower toilets, 1 bedding room, and 1 pantry room. Four cars can be easily parked on the property.
There is a high-class villa area called Honka Village right next door, and some people use it as a vacation home, while others like the nature of Lake Yamanaka and live here all year round, but the environment is so tranquil that you can hardly feel the presence of people. The lake is a protected area for birds and animals, so recently deer have been coming here to feed on the flowers and bark of the trees. There are swans and ducks swimming in the lake.
The lake is not a tourist attraction like Lake Kawaguchi, so there are few restaurants and stores. The only exception is Cafe Paper Moon, which is within walking distance.
With the hills in the back and the lake in the front, the location of Ungaikyo is very good from a feng shui perspective.

Concept

My grandfather, Takao Fujiwara, built this villa and loved this place. I would like our guests to enjoy the nature of this place.

“The people of Japan need to be aware of the importance of nature, and we must go further to the point of respecting nature.
As you know, people have been aware of the greatness of the power of nature for a long time, and this is where the religious spirit comes from. The great hidden power is most often found in nature. That is why we worship the sun and the moon. There is the god of water and the god of fire. When fire is created by the friction of trees, it is a very mysterious thing that can burn up anything and everything. It's the same with the wind, isn't it?
The great power of nature cannot be resisted by human beings, no matter how hard they stand. Bowing down to the great power of nature is the source of the religious mind.”

My grandfather, who was elected governor of Yamanashi Prefecture before the war and worked for the former Ministry of Home Affairs, may sound a bit superior, but I think it is a very convincing way of thinking. I would be very happy if you could experience the power of nature that we tend to forget when we live in the city by exploring Yamanakako and the surrounding nature based on Yamanakako.

OM Solar System

The temperature of the entire house is controlled by the OM Solar System, which uses solar panels attached to the roof to heat the air, and then sends the warmed air under the floor and out through floor vents to control the temperature of the entire house.
As a result, the temperature difference between the rooms in the house and the temperature difference between the top and bottom of the room are also reduced.
Another important feature of the system is that it can ventilate the house at the same time as heating, since it brings in fresh outside air along with the sun's heat.
When heating with solar heat alone is not enough, a kerosene boiler is used for supplementary heating.
During the hot summer months, the warm air from the heat collector is discharged outside, and at night, when the outside air temperature is lower than the room temperature, a cool breeze is let in.

Depending on the weather of the day, the outside temperature, and the temperature you feel indoors, you can use the control panel to perform operations such as solar intake, solar exhaust, heating, and cool breeze.

OM Solar's hot water storage system is not used at Ungaikyo.
