When you walk out the door of Ungaikyo and cross Marimo Street, you will find yourself in Asahigaoka Lakeside Green Park. The park is a beautiful place for a stroll, with a promenade. As you descend the stairs of the park, the shores of Lake Yamanaka spread out before you. However, you still cannot see Mt. Fuji, but if you walk along the lakeside for about 100 meters toward Hirano, you can see Mt. Fuji. The photo above shows the view.
Mt. Fuji is best seen in the morning. You wake up and go for a walk in the morning, You will see the beutiful scenery of Mt. Fuji. if the weather is good. So please don't miss incredible senery of Mt. Fuji. It is often hidden by clouds near noon.

Finally, in the spring of 2021, I opened Ungaikyo as a vacation rental villa. I'd like to write about the hardships I went through to open the villa, as well as some old stories about Ungaikyo and Lake Yamanaka.
